Just wondering what other you guys play outside of Pokemon whether it's competitive or not. I'm a big fan of the Smash Bros. Series and I play Melee and Smash 4 on a competitive level. I also used to play a decent amount of Mario Kart Wii as well as it is one of my favorite games. I enjoy speed running as well and I am currently learning Super Mario 64 - 16 Star.

When I was younger I played a lot of Football Manager, but due to a friend I moved into the grand strategy games of Paradox, e.g. EU4 and HOI4, and they are amazing. Especially EU4 is great to play, because every country is different and you can build your empire and set your own goals during the run. It is just fun removing kebab with Austria using the HRE, going for Spain and colonization, gaining independence with Holland and forming the Netherlands or just roflstomp the rest of the world with the Ottomans. Other games I like are Civ5 and the Anno franchise.

I have almost 900 hours on The Talos Principle, a first person singleplayer puzzle game which I happen to speedrun (even though I don't really go for competitive times, I prefer routing / finding new exploits and optimizations). I also have the third fastest speedrun time for SUPERHOT in the world which I'm pretty proud of. TheIdiotNinja's profile - Runs - speedrun.com
I'm also REALLY into Danganronpa and I enjoyed the Zero Escape games a ton even if I'm not as invested in them (good taste HSOWA ). Other visual novels I played and loved are VA-11 Hall-A and Root Double.
I really enjoy other first person puzzle games in the style of The Talos Principle, Portal / Portal 2, etc. Some of my favorites are Antichamber, Quantum Conundrum, and TRI: Of Friendship and Madness.
I've had my fair share of hundreds of hours dumped on Hearthstone and League of Legends, reaching Legend in Hearthstone (though I focused on Arena where I averaged 6.5 wins at some point) and reaching Diamond in League in Season 5 (I know, I know, not impossibly great achievements, but they still take time to get). Don't play either game anymore.
I can dig roguelikes from time to time. Rogue Legacy and Risk of Rain were fun.
Had my fun with Super Meat Boy a few years ago, tried to get back into the 2D platformers with Dustforce recently but good lord these games are difficult for my untrained fingers.
Always been a huge fan of the first three Paper Mario games as well as most Mario & Luigi games, but recently I feel like the quality of both dropped off a ton (well, Paper Mario was terrible after SPM, M&L was a slow descent). Love both Galaxy games to death, enjoy the Mario Karts a ton too.
The Inazuma Eleven games for DS/3DS were, for some reason, incredibly addictive. Spent hours compiling spreadsheets about statistics and whatnot, do not regret a single second.
Professor Layton games were a pretty big part of my childhood and I love them to death. Ace Attorney games I caught up on more recently, also a big fan.
Fire Emblem Awakening was very fun. Couldn't really get into the older ones though, and haven't tried Fates. (I know all of the diehard fire emblem fans will think lowly of me for this, but hey, to each their own? I'm not saying the other ones are bad, just not my thing.)
Bravely Default was a lot of fun. Bravely Second is sitting on my shelf waiting for when I can be bothered to actually play it, alongside Yokai Watch.
Sometimes I mess around with trying to clear Minesweeper as fast as possible but I'm nowhere near professional. Can most likely do it better than your average person though.

This is probably a nice comprehensive list of all the videogames I've enjoyed a lot in the past or present. Don't think I'm missing too much.

Yooooooo I legit love competitive smash bros even though I don't actually play on that level. It's such a great game to watch imo. I'm always considering getting into it, but idk sorting out a controller, console (I only own a Wii lol), copy of the respective game (I own Brawl and Sm4sh... for the 3DS lol) and whatever else is needed to play the game like getting a screen with low lag or a CRT, setting up all the different software to play online and so on. Then there's sinking enough time in the game to reach a skill level where I can compete, which is a commitment I don't think I can make. Then on top of that I live in Australia, so I really have my doubts about my local competitive scene (at least I live in Sydney tho so a local scene definitely exists, it's just probably not all that big). Also I don't even know which game I'd get into, like I'd seriously be fine with any smash game, even 64 or brawl

Also I love Mario Kart Wii, even though I haven't played it in ages. Bikes are really fun to use, even if they're kinda badly balanced. I think I'm pretty fucking good at it too

As for me, I've been bingeing Overwatch pretty heavily. It's just so goddamn addictive when things go right and your team isn't bloody retarded... which is a big if but oh well. Stuck firmly in scrub territory (play on ps4), but I'm slowly climbing now that I've settled on Orisa as my "main". I mean, I play all the tanks, but Orisa's my favourite and I find her effective in pretty much any situation so in practice I always pick her (and because she's a tank and no-one wants to play tanks I seldom have to swap to another role)

I've been playing this recently: Aground

There's still time to contribute to the Kickstarter and get benefits from that, if you want.

Melee is great. Me and my brother have been playing for years but recently I quit because my thumb started hurting when i played and I really don't want to ruin my hands. One thing about melee is that it really isn't good for your hands, which is sad because it is so amazing.

I´ve played a lot of different games, and a lot of different ones on a competitive level too so I don´t know where to start but here I go:

YuGiOh: Played it when it first came out over here, and started playing it competitively back in 2005, around the socalled "Goat Control" Format (Banned List April of 2005), in real life till 2008. It was also a good opportunity to earn something for the pocket, considering that some cards could be sold for like 150 Euros, in theory (not to mention the tournament exclusive ones that are on a whole different level), whilest having fun with it. I returned later only to play it online, stopped, but I still catch myself playing the April 2005 Format at times. I still recall one of my matches vs Gruener, who used to be one of the best at that time, and is probably still one of the all time best.

PES/PES Mobile: PES (Pro Evolution Soccer) was one of the games I was best at (as in, compared to other games), and the rankings of the mobile version agreed with me. That was until 2 chinese hackers decided to hack themselves into the ladder with a crazy amount of 9´s (like 999.999.999.999.999), which discouraged myself from playing, as Konami didn´t fix it, and I didn´t have any other way to compete online at a PES game with a limited internet connection at the time.

Chess: More of a site note, I enjoyed playing chess a lot when I was a kid. As I grew older, I wasn´t quite as eager to play it, but still play a match at times (that is: until it gets monotonous).

Streetfighter II/IV: Especially II is a all time favorite. I still remember the sour look on the faces of my friends when we played with the rule setting that the loser would give his controler to another player, but I simply wouldn´t lose. They would then choose a different game. Still feel a bit guilty about that, even though I feel like I don´t have to.

PTCGO: One of the more recent ones, but I caught myself trading more often than actually playing. Didn´t play it for that long though (excluding the actual real life counterpart).

Dynaball: A little game of hall football that is relatively unknown, especially since the only users that play it are from Switzerland/Austria/Germany (probably because the whole page is written in german). Was fun at the time, but as time went by, I didn´t feel like playing it any longer (plus I´ve achieved p much everything).

Informunity: A real life based stock market simulator. It isn´t all too exciting, as those are mere cold numbers, but I wanted to test if my tactics would be of any use and if I actually knew the market and, yeah, I usually did pretty well (Top 10 in monthly rankings, annual rankings etc.). I still log into it, but it isn´t one of my top priorities.

Poker: I got into it very recently, but I caught myself having fun playing it. Let´s see where it takes me.

Miscellanous: I always enjoyed Leaderboards when I started playing, and casually played for them at times. That is, if the game was leaderboard only.

Also, I wanted to get into Go (the chinese game, not Pokemon Go) at one point, but I feel like this might take some time.

I´m generally pretty open for games, as long as they have competitive depth (more or less) and aren´t monotonous.

    I am a nintendo loyal.

    Smash bros 64 and melee.
Mario kart. Anything that can turn competitive and ruin friendships ;-)

I'm not much on long storyline games with an exception for some zelda. Ocarina of time will forever be my favorite.
And star fox 64 was amazing to play through as you could beat it all in about an hour but going for high scores was so fun.

I just started guns of boom and love it. Its a mobile free to play first person shooter. Its a bit pay2win but its not awful. I haven't spent a dime on it and have a 1.94 kd and 75% in random match ups. I have a clan of bros from work and we win 90% plus when we actually play together. Very fun. Join the falconpunch clan if you decide to play.

I've played through many different games in my life, especially in the Mario and Legend of Zelda series. Back in late 2014 and 2015, I was also extremely into competitive Smash 4, although my passion for Smash in general has long since burned out.

Most of my childhood and adolescence was on Nintendo games, started branching out to other things as I got older. I really didn't have a choice because at one point the Wii's releases started to dry up and become mostly unheard-of shovelware. I used to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl competitively....go ahead and laugh. I was around when a mod called "Brawl+" was getting big; I think it eventually became Project M, but I was long out of the scene by the time PM came around.
Lately I've been more of a PC gamer, it's pretty good. With PC + switch I get to play all major releases that aren't PS exclusives (if I have time). I also play Quake III Arena with a group of people at work. It gets really fun and rowdy, and other FPSs now feel slow by comparison.

    I currently bounce between:
    1. DOOM 2016
    2. VR games/demos I find that are interesting
    3. Wario Land 4
