  3. Tiers

View Introduction to Tiers if you don't know what tiers are. Pokémon Perfect tiers are named differently to those on Smogon. A numeral followed by the letter U, e.g. 1U, 2U, 3U, represents a main tier on Pokémon Perfect – the '1' of '1U' representing the tier level. For a tier to be a main tier, it must be balanced (nothing is too powerful and game-breaking) and diverse enough (include a variety of Pokémon and strategies). A numeral followed by the letter P, e.g. 1P, 2P, 3P contain all Pokémon that are deemed overpowered in the respective 1U, 2U, 3U tiers. The 1st tier level allows Pokémon that are banned in the 2nd level, and this process continues down. Read the tier list, and in-depth explanations of the tiers naming system and tiering system. Also check out our analyses for all tiers.

  4. Tournaments

RBY 1U Seasons and its master tournaments are responsible for starting up the community, and tournaments continue to play a big role in maintaining interest in the forums. Signups Open gives you a list of tournaments you can join, and Ongoing lists tournaments that you might want to follow. Additionally, you can tap to find out approximate Schedules for tournaments.

Activity wins have been handed out. In most cases it was fairly unambiguous, but I should note that raimon did respond to my pm, however their reply was insubstantial and does not balance out the fact that they didn't respond to their opponent's VMs.

Note that in determining progression to the next round I'm giving 3-0 to act wins* and not distinguishing between genuine wins and activity/forfeit wins, however seeding is only based on genuine wins. Anyone who forfeited or received an act loss was DQ'd. In any case, results are below:
    byronthewellwell 6-0 [0-0]
    Freya 6-0 [0-0]
    Alfredo_Rivero 5-1 [2-1]
    Monsters of Men 5-1 [2-1]
    Lycans 5-1 [2-1]
    Joyverse 4-2 [4-2]
    p2 4-2 [4-2]
    Lasen 4-2 [1-2]
    Sas0 4-2 [1-2]
    Ortheore 3-3 [0-3]
=====Users below this line failed to progress to the next round=====
    Spoire 2-4 [2-4]

*should I adjust this to 2-1 in future? 3-0 seems a bit much.

Bracket for the elimination stage of the tournament is now available! Also all ties in seeding were determined randomly.

won 3-0 vs Alfredo, it was an unfortunate series with a DQ which I waited for a solid 10 minutes before clicking the timer since I didn't know he had internet issues. gg regardless.

    Activity time!

byronthewellwell left a vm on Freya's wall, to which Freya responded, albeit somewhat unhelpfully (time zone should be like the first thing you mention). Byron asked what day worked best and received no response

    Activity win to byronthewellwell

Since the other two matches have already been completed, it's just byronthewellwell vs Lasen for this week. Deadline is Monday 2nd July

Sorry for being late, time for activity.

As far as I can see, neither byronthewellwell nor Lasen left a vm on the other's profile and I don't know of any other attempts to contact so I'm flipping this one

    ... and Lasen won

Finals are p2 vs Lasen vs Sas0
Please complete three battles vs each opponent!
No strict deadline, but please get it done soonish

Congratulations Lasen for winning the tour!

Congratulations also to p2 and Sas0 for coming second and third respectively. I'll update the spreadsheet with the results.

Also a reminder that because the prize money from a single tour is quite small, I'm not going to distribute it automatically, instead I'm keeping a record of how much everyone's won and it's up to you to claim your winnings whenever you want to- just let me know

    edit:
This means this tournament has now concluded. Just to recap:
    • You earn one season point for each battle won in the initial stage (max 6). Activity wins are treated as a 3-0 win.
    • You earn two points for winning a match in the elimination stage (i.e. 2-0 or 2-1).
    • Lasen, p2 and Sas0 all receive prizes ($15, $10 and $5 AUD respectively).
edit2: Note to self, in future for this format (next season), treat act wins as 2-1 rather than 3-0. The latter is just ridiculous in terms of what the results look like if you get a series of act wins

edit3: Also can use countback as a tiebreaker
