ADV OU Mossdeep Cup #1
Tournament Format
- Mossdeep Cup (the ADV OU equivalent of the popular Viridian Cup) is a single elimination tournament for teams of two.
- Each player faces a player from the opposing team in a FT2W series. If both players from a team win against their opponent, that team advances. In the event of a 1-1 tie, the winners play a FT2W tiebreaker.
- When there is only a single team left, these two players face each other in a final FT2W series.
- The winner qualifies for The Ever Grande Cup and receives a
trophy by their avatar!
- Banned Pokemon: Deoxys, Deoxys-Attack, Deoxys-Defense, Deoxys-Speed, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Mew, Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Wobbuffet, Wynaut.
- Banned Moves: Double Team, Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Minimize, Sheer Cold (Evasion + OHKO moves).
- Banned Moves on Pokémon: Ingrain on Smeargle.
- Clauses: Sleep Clause, Species Clause, Self-KO Clause. Self-KO is a tie, in which case a replay should occur.

About Deadlines
Any matches not played by their respective deadline are subject to activity calls by the host. Due to the unusual format of this tournament, adhering to the deadlines is extremely important, and only minimal extensions will be granted in exceptional cases. It is even recommended to play the non-tiebreak games as soon as possible regardless of deadline to allow more freedom for scheduling potential tiebreakers.
Both forum and simulator activity are taken into account for activity decisions.
About Matches
Players will probably gather around the Ruins of Alph channel on PS or the Smogtours or PP servers, so idle on there if you want to catch them. Please play matches in the ADV OU tier following the above rules.
Signups end on Monday the 30th April, 23:59pm GMT+2. You may sign up as a team of two, in which case the second player has to "like" your post to confirm the signup, or as a free agent in order to be matched randomly on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a suitable number of players is exceeded, team signups will be given priority.
